I sincerely hope you guys will love this blog post! I LOVE the Florida Keys and I had such an amazing time while there with my sister. I will be writing about everything I did while there. I hope you guys enjoy this easy and straight to point post.

What is THE FLORIDA KEYS?

The Florida Keys are a string of tropical islands stretching about 120 miles off the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida, between the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. They’re known as a destination for fishing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving. The southernmost city of Key West is famous for Duval Street’s many bars, Mallory Square’s nightly Sunset Celebration and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum.

I was there for 1 week and It was wonderful

ISLAMORADA

FOOD

ISLAMORADA

Days 1-2

We arrived in Key West and checked in to Amara Cay Resort : 80001 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036

Lovely resort and a very relaxed feeling! I loved being there and relaxing by the ocean on hammocks and their chairs. The Pool is heated and very nice.

We ate at the Reel Catch that night and It was wonderful especially because it's inside the resort. We ordered some yummy fish tacos, hamburgers, and chicken wings.

Day 2

We went to the Turtle Hospital: 2396 Overseas Hwy, Marathon, FL 33050 the next morning and it was a wonderful experience. it made me so much more aware about our ocean turtles.

We had lunch at the Keys Fisheries: 3502 Gulfview Ave, Marathon, FL 33050 and it was my favorite place from this entire trip. The fish was so fresh and tasted amazing. I also tried their world-famous lobster sandwich and it was perfect too.

We went back to the resort and chilled by the ocean on hammocks, took a very good nap, and enjoyed our evening before heading out to dinner.

Amazing dinner views, the food was great but the view was perfect. Go around 7 PM to be able to stay while sunset happens. Got a yummy salad and a nice hamburger.

After dinner, we went back to the resort and they had live music is playing in the lobby/restaurant area. We went to the pool since it was heated :)

Day 3

We checked out of Amara Cay and It was a wonderful stay. The staff was super friendly and everyone treated us super nice. I would definitely come back to this relaxing resort.

Fun Fact

Amara Cay Resort

They have "sister" resorts so you can visit other resorts while staying there. Also, you can use their bikes, kayaks and paddleboard all included with the resort fee.

Day 3

Key West

We drove to Key West and went to Smathers Beach one of my favorite beaches in Key West. We just swam and played there till we went to Oceans Edge Resort to check in.

SMATHERS BEACH

Went to a snorkeling/sunset sail with Sunset Watersports. It was amazing, we snorkeled and watched the beautiful sunset on the boat.

For dinner, we went toTiger Bar Exotic Eats which is a modern small plate restaurant inspired by international street food where every guest is treated with the intimacy of a chef's table dining experience. The Food was great and the ambiance was so different I love it.

Day 4

We explored the hotel after a beautiful morning with lots of rain. It was very beautiful. The property is beautiful and clean they also have a free shuttle to the main island which I love it we use both days on our stay.

After we went to Barefoot Billys Dolphin Excursion and I Had a wonderful time with my sister. We snorkeled first and after the beautiful fishes, we found some dolphins! It was my first time seeing them and It was the most beautiful thing ever! They came super close to our boat and I felt like our captain had a lot of experience and patience.

After the dolphin excursion, we went to Sebago Sunset to do a sunset tour with live music, food, and drinks. It was so calm and beautiful. Great food and music. Saw one of the best sunsets on the planet that evening.

We finish our evenig dinning at First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery which is located in the heart of downtown Key West. It’s well known for being the birthplace of Pan American World Airways since the structure now located at 301 Whitehead St. was the place where Pan Am’s first tickets were sold in 1927.

Every time I come to Key West I do the Ultimate Adventure with Fury Key West. It's a 6 hours adventure which includes, Snorkeling, Jet Skii, Banana Boat, Parasailing and a waterpark. It's super fun! They also sell you pictures when you go parasailing. It's $40.

We checked in to Ocean Key Resort & Spa it has the distinction of having Zero Duval Street as its address. Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, every room comes with a view. Adjacent to Mallory Square in historic Old Town Key West, we have a long history of hosting artists, authors, and characters of all kinds. You’ll thrive in our wonderfully diverse, positively eclectic, sundrenched neighborhood.

This was such a beautiful resort in the heart of Key West. Watched the sunset from my balcony and it was super peaceful. Went to their pool and walked around their property which was so much fun.

Had dinner at Hot Tin Roof, The food was great and they had an amazing view! Super close to downtown Key West so after dinner we walked downtown Key West.

We left the next day and drove to Miami where we had so much fun for the day till we went on our Airplane.

I would definitely reccomend you to stay in Islamorada for a few days to get to know the upper part of The Florida Keys, then stay a few days down Key West.

Loved every place I stayed in, they were all different but amazing. Here is a recap:
